Responsibilities:
- Review and process credentialing applications for healthcare providers
- Verify and validate provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, and certifications
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider information in the credentialing database
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any credentialing issues or discrepancies
- Communicate with providers and external organizations to obtain necessary documentation
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of provider credentials to ensure continued compliance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office or managed care setting required
- Knowledge of credentialing standards and processes
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
