With three convenient locations, our Hematologist-Oncologists bring comprehensive patient-centered care to local communities. Responsibilities
- Prepare medical claims for electronic submission to Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care,and commercial insurance carriers
- Identify and resolve any claim delay issues that impact billing and collections
- Medical Billing and Post payments
- Review correspondence and rejections from insurance carriers, post and reconcile.
- Accurately interpret EOB and collections report
- Follow up on all unpaid claims from billing & denials through final resolution.
- Follow up on payment errors, low reimbursement & denials
- Initiate and track appeals as necessary
- Provide timely notation of action taken on patient accounts
- Obtain Prior Authorization for medical procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Medical Biller preferable
- Billing certifications a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and follow up on necessary projects
- Knowledge of medical issues and terminology
- Prior experience working with insurance companies
