Medical Billing Assistant

Cheerful Medical Billing Assistant needed 20-25 hours a week for 4 outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinics, with office located in Grand Mound, WA. Past experience working in medical desired. Must be able to self-motivate and stay on task without supervision. Applicant must be dependable and consistent, friendly, personable, and professional in appearance. This position requires a person with the ability to multitask and prioritize, attention to detail, ability to learn and retain information easily, a solid work ethic, and a high level of professionalism.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller Assistant to join our team. The Medical Biller Assistant will be responsible for assisting the lead Medical Biller, accurately posting payments to patient accounts, processing payments, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will ideally have a background in the medical realm with knowledge of medical insurance and billing terminology.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and medical office procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
