SalaryPosition Summary: The Medical BillerData Entry is responsible for all aspects of front-end billing including
patient/insurance demographic entry, hospital data capture, and charge entry.

Job Duties
- Professionally represent client as client billing office
- Review hospital data capture/patient facesheet to ensure accurate demographic setup
- Enter patient/insurance demographics
- Accurately enter charges in high-volume environment
- Audit batch lists prior to posting charges
- Maintain log of posted and unposted batches
- Identify account problems, trends, and patterns
- Occasionally assist with overflow from Patient Account Services (Customer Service)
- Adhere to defined department goals and activity metrics
- Comply with state/federal regulations and adhere to HIPAA and PHI guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 1- 2 years medical collections or applicable experience
- 10-key by touch
- 60 wpm preferred
- Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
- Commitment to superior customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Team player
- Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Comfortable with computer use, online resources, and learning new software
- MedFM software experience is a plus
