Gill Family Medicine is looking for a full-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. You will work closely with our patients, providers, medical staff, and laboratory personnel to ensure that patients receive the best healthcare practices. Our ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, excels at problem solving, and has proven work history of dependability.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
- Take patient histories and vital signs.
- Administer injections, perform ekgs, and assist physicians with in-office procedures.
- Handle telephone calls from patients, pharmacies, etc.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient visits.
- Coordinate referrals, prescription authorizations, outside orders, etc.
- Maintain clean and professional working area.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills.
- Independent and highly motivated.
- Exhibit initiative and self-discipline.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assisting Program
- Certification or Registration is preferred
- 2+ years of medical office experience is preferred
- BLS certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
