Job Description
RESPONSIBILITES
- Register patients schedule appointments, answer phones, and perform administrative duties
- Obtain vitals and histories for patients under supervision of physician or nurse
- Assist physicians in conducting physical examinations, treatment of both work and non-work related injuries, and job testing
- Perform chain-of-custody drug screens and breathalyzer tests
- Perorm job function screenings, fit-testing, spirometry, vision screening, and audio screening
- Collect lab specimens and perform CLIA waived lab tests
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Performs phlebotomy and administers immunizations
- Send reports medical records to employers and keeps accurate and organized files of all pending tests and results
- Communicate with collaborating physicians, techs, and Medical Assistants regarding patient care
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with corporate contacts to coordinate Occupational Health screenings
- Travel to contracted companies to complete on-site patient care
QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Experience working in a medical office
- Ability to build rapport with patients and corporate contacts
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a healthcare team
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification and MA certification
