Position Summary:
The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for a broad range of support services to ensure efficient patient operations including assisting professional staff in direct patient care, admitting and discharging, scheduling patient visits, requesting authorizations, triaging patient and family inquiries, maintaining patient information, ordering and maintaining supplies, preparing required reports and providing other support as requested in the Torrance Multispecialty Center.
- Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years 20 experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Qualifications:
- A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR) certification is required.
- Certificate from accredited Medical Assistant school required.
- 2+ years of nursing support experience in hospital and/or medical environment is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
