Job Description
We are currently seeking an experiencedSenior Aviation Scheduler in the DFW metro area. This position is onsite and reports to Design Code and Construction at DFW Airport.
Job Duties:
- Create a comprehensive master schedule by incorporating the initial Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and contractors' schedules.
- Collaborate closely with project schedulers, project managers, and stakeholders, ensuring logical tie-ins between schedules to meet program team expectations.
- Track critical activities, identify changes impacting the critical path, and monitor program milestones and interdependencies.
- Apply industry-accepted methodologies to analyze delays and provide detailed information on factors affecting project schedules.
- Spot the critical path and propose alternative solutions to mitigate schedule slippage.
- Develop strategies for negotiating claims, encompassing office overhead, labor, and equipment costs.
- Provide technical support in claims litigation and document changes integrated into the project schedule.
- Generate comprehensive project progress summaries and reports for review.
- Identify project risks, conduct impact analysis, and present findings to the project team.
- Maintain current and standardized job files, performing field comparisons to verify construction schedule accuracy.
- Develop, monitor, and update resource-loaded schedules, approving contractor schedules and verifying Schedule of Values (SOV) values, including costs and quantity.
- Implement an effective quality control program to ensure services adhere to established standards.
- Provide scheduling assistance and education to project team members, establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
- Review and verify all project-related scheduling information with project teams.
- Develop and implement procedures to identify, prevent, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services.
- Create and provide various layouts and excerpts from the project schedule on an ad-hoc basis to support specific meetings or discussions.
Requirements:
4-year degree in architecture, engineering or construction science.
8-10+ years of scheduling experience on a construction project at airports.
