Looking for a Medical Assistant with a positive disposition to join our team at Northwest Extremity Specialists.
This position requires travel to multiple locations.
SUMMARY:
Aid physician(s) and other team members with patient exams and the efficient flow of the clinic. Assist in providing quality and confidential health care to patients. Being of support for both the front desk and other team members as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
To assist the provider(s) with the patient exam, procedures, and treatment.
To prepare charts, call patients, escort them in an exam room, obtain historical information and vital signs.
Schedule patient appointments for exams, other diagnostic tests, and referrals.
Set-up exam rooms and stock rooms with supplies daily.
Clean exam rooms and instruments. Handle phone calls/messages.
Make calls to obtain information from hospitals, labs, other physician offices, and ancillary departments.
Perform X- rays upon doctor"s request (if certified). Engage in the overall development of the practice.
Job Expectations (includes but not limited to the following):

- Facilitate inter-office team communication with respectful and constructive problem-solving techniques
- Educate patients as directed by manager or physician
- Complete patient referrals
- Answer phone calls and take messages
- Combine efficiency, productivity, and caring for patients in all actions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and be sensitive to patient"s medical needs
- Possess professional relation skills
- Ability to work with interruptions and manage multiple tasks
- Keep abreast and follow of OSHA and HIPPA regulations
- Review daily patient schedule
- Conduct new patient interview according to new patient guidelines and medical treatment
- Keep patient rooms organized
- Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Escort patient to treatment room
- Complete each patient"s triage process
- Maintain all lab supplies and equipment in an orderly, clean condition
- Perform X-rays, and other procedures as instructed(if certified)
- Contribute to the growth of Northwest Extremity Specialists
- Travel, as needed
Job Type:
Full-time position 32 – 40 hours per week
Weekdays only, no weekends
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
License/certification preferred:
- Medical Assistant (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
- NCMA (National Certified Medical Assistant) (NCCT)
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- MA experience preferred but not required- Willing to train on the job
- Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Critical thinking skills and a positive attitude essential.

The pay range for this role is:
18 - 22 USD per hour(NES - Tigard Locust)
