Star Nursing has Urgent Needs for Registered Nurse

Location: Brownwood, TX 76801

Facility: Acute Care Facility

Start date: 1/15/24

Specialty: Telemetry/ Med Surge

Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 12hr shift (07:00 AM to 07:00PM) 36hrs/wk, must be flexible, w/weekends

RN Pay rate:

Local: $50/hr
Travel no Housing: $30/hr taxed + $880/wk tax-free travel stipend (30/22)

**Must be 50 miles away from permanent residence to qualify for housing allowance**

Responsibilities:

· Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.

· Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.

· Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.

· Administering medication and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.

· Maintaining and updating ward charts, patient files, and medical records.

· Instructing Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.

· Collaborating with healthcare specialists and reporting changes and deteriorating conditions.

· Explaining test results and procedures to patients and their families, as well as answering questions.

· Advising patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, home care protocols, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Requirements:

Step #1

• Current Resume
• Active RN License
• Current BLS/CPR ACLS and NIH
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Minimum two (2) years experience in Telemetry/Med Surge
• Skills checklist
• 2– current -Supervisor references

Step # 2

• Physical (within the last 12 months)
• PPD (within the last 12 months)
• MMR, Varicella, Hep B Titers (or declination)
• Tdap/Flu (or declination)
• RN Exams
• LGBT Training Certification
• Copy or driver’s license and SS card
• Must be able to pass background/ urine drug screen
