Mechanical Technician - Experienced Pn

Role Overview

The Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician works on our micro and nanopositioning products.  This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30 pm.  In this role you will be responsible for assembly, repair, and metrology of precision mechanical positioning products.  Our ideal candidate will have 5 years of related experience as a mechanical assembly technician. Position is currently based in Hopkinton MA and will move to Marlborough MA within 1 year.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician

• Mechanical assembly of devices requiring precision alignments and metrology
• Soldering of small gauge wires (28-36 gauge)
• Using a microscope for precision alignments and soldering of small devices
• Interpret mechanical and technical product drawings and documentation
• Ability to use standard office applications (Word, Excel, Email)

Experience & Requirements for Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician

• Complex mechanical assembly tasks and precision metrology measurements
• Moderate soldering experience, J-STD-001 preferred
• Familiarity with precision mechanical alignments, tools and techniques
• Use of multi-meters, wire strippers, and standard assembly and metrology tools
• Completing assembly, and metrology records for regulatory and QC requirements
• Follow 5S and Lean principles in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills, able to Multi-task and prioritize work
• US Citizen or Green Card is an employment contingency

Education & Experience for Precision Mechanical Assembly Technician

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field preferred
