Mechanical Staff Designer 2

T&M Associates is seeking a Staff Designer-2 with 3+ years of experience to join one of our New Jersey Offices (Bloomfield, Middletown, or Toms River). This position will be in the MEP Practice with a primary focus on mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Preparation of construction documents including calculations, drawings, details, and specifications.
• Heating and cooling load calculations.
• Construction administration services such as site visits, construction meetings, review of mechanical submittals, and responding to RFI’s.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit required.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• 3+ years prior experience in designing mechanical systems.
• Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD and Revit required.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees, especially Electrical and Structural Engineers.
• Willing to learn new interesting technical fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on several projects at once.
• Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player, and willingness to learn.
