ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
♦ Collaborate with design team to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products and provide sales support.
♦ Plan and modify electrical configurations to meet customer needs.
♦ Produce job electrical design that captures all product requirements for new or existing customers based on sales submissions in appropriate software.
♦ Review Chassis proposal per customer’s specifications to ensure electrical capability.
♦ Layout and design schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and features by using computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software.
♦ HVAC automotive system integration into vehicle.
♦ Responsible for overseeing all multiplex programming to support electrical interface.
♦ Analyzes various electrical design requirements and recommend possible solutions or alternate constructions.
♦ May coordinate with/or consult other staff to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
♦ Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
♦ Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
♦ Defines and releases a complete job electrical bill of material in current system following current protocols.
♦ Ensure all necessary electrical documentation is complete such as engineering drawings, bill of materials and related product specifications to allow successful transfer to manufacturing.
♦ May work on design projects that reduce the cost of the product, as well as, designing necessary equipment or fixtures that are needed during the new product development cycle or with installed base product.
♦ Maintain and adhere to all deadlines established/assigned to continually support the continuous improvement initiatives within the department and support external customer base and internal production.
REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in the following Software’s:
♦ Solidworks electrical experience or experience in 3D electrical design is a plus
♦ AutoCAD or other 2D CAD
♦ EPDM
♦ Outlook
♦ Excel
