MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
This position reports to CBES (City Building and Engineering Services US LLC).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design mechanical / HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping and layout of devices
- Make calculations using engineering formulas such as heating and cooling loads and equipment sizing
- Consulting with lead engineer, prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze operation of existing systems
- Research equipment selection using software, catalogs under the direction of lead engineer
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes, consults with lead engineer regarding building code requirements
- Participate and develop client level HVAC standards
- Handle multiple projects with efficiency and accuracy
- Develops new / innovative solutions to address client needs
- Receive and follow through with specific or technical instructions
- Support client level sustainability and carbon reduction programs
- Visit sites, as required
- Review and incorporate redline.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in designing HVAC systems.
- 2-5 years of experience in HVAC design (AutoCAD Revit or Autodesk Inventor experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and have a good understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems
- Available for travel less than 20%
