Job Purpose:

As a Mechanical Design Engineer focused on mechanical switchgears, your primary responsibility will be to design mechanical switchgears and ensure that they meet the required quality standards. You will be responsible for creating and implementing design plans to ensure that the switchgears meet customer requirements and specifications. You will also be responsible for overseeing the production process and ensuring that the switchgears are manufactured according to design plans and meet the necessary quality standards.

Your duties will include:

• Develop part and assembly drawings of Power Distribution Equipment.
• Responsible for the design and management of all electrical enclosure & component drawings.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with all relevant project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to identify, define, and engineer solutions for design constraints.
• Evaluate contract drawings and design quotes to ensure engineering design conforms with customer specifications
• Collaborate with shop floor to observe conditions impacting manufacturing and identify solutions to correct the issues.
• Cross over 2-D models to 3-D
• Keep or exceed pace of engineering schedule

In order to excel in this position, the following qualification is required:

• 10+ years of Mechanical Design experience in Mechanical Design and manufacturing
• Autodesk Inventor experience and/or CSWP Certification (Certified SolidWorks Professional), with experience in sheet metal manufacturing
• Knowledge of Auto-Cad Utilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• LV Switchboard, LV Switchgear, and Medium-Voltage experience a plus
• strong problem-solving skills,

Salary Range:$100 - 120k per year

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
