Mechanical Engineering department at Penn State Scranton seeks part-time faculty for the Fall 2022 semester and beyond. For Fall 2022 we seek applicants to teach Finite Elements and Machine Design. Responsibilities include instruction, class preparation, grading, and office hours. The full course description can be viewed at:

Qualifications:
The ideal candidates should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, contact information for three professional references, and a list of courses taught at the college level; all of which must be submitted online through our career site. Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.

Qualifications:
- Masters in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Teaching experience at the university level is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
