You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.Qualifications:I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional MECHANICAL ENGINEER.
1) ensuring technical and logistics considerations are addressed throughout the program, with direction provided regarding source selection, statement of work and specification preparation, design reviews, design approval and production program reviews; 2) Providing technical guidance/direction/strategies for execution by Directorate personnel for high-visibility, high-complexity issues often best served via multi-Departmental participation; 3) Facilitating coordination between departments, other directorates, the Hardware Systems Commands, DLA and other services to include reviews of shared processes to identify areas for possible improvement; 4) Providing engineering/technical consulting services to NAVICP, NAVAIR, NAVSUP, DLA and other services personnel regarding the manufacturing and testing of aeronautical and support equipment in the field of expertise.
