A candidate must currently live in, or be willing to relocate within, the Kansas City metropolitan area. 

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To innovate and create products that support the growth of the Company and Engineering Department.

ENGINEERING

• Focus on Engineering design and Production
• Hands-on use of software for product design
• Support production in fabrication and machining, estimating & procurement
• Participation in product compliance (UL, IEC, etc.) activities
• Lead and manage regulatory testing programs to verify compliance to UL/IEC standards
• Participates in design documentation reviews to ensure that the released designs comply with regulatory standards
• Develop projects from conceptual design to full manufacturing capability
• Promote and Develop Engine sales to other Manufacturers
• Develop ideas for new products to manufacture
• Acts as project manager for individual and larger project efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of hands on testing experience with power products
• 3+ years AutoCAD drafting experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Solid understanding of basic generator and electrical distribution principles.
• Strong attention to details and diligent follow-through.
• Ability to understand, embrace, and implement new technologies as they evolve.
