WELDER - GMAW and GTAW
Essential Function:
Complete complex assemblies and machine assembly. Perform AWS and/or ASME welding fabrication duties while achieving established quality and productivity standards.
Education/Experience/Certificates:
- 5+ years of experience in welding/fabrication
- Assembly experience
- Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, rulers and feeler gages
- Solid understanding of mathematics, welding symbols and the ability to read mechanical drawings
- GMAW and GTAW certifications
- Overhead crane operations
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform welding/fabrication activities which meet required drawing tolerances and complete in-process inspection reports
- Perform assembly activities
- Operate shop equipment such as bandsaw, lathe, mill, hydraulic press, brake press
- Perform maintenance of the equipment
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Utilize Continuous Improvement Tools
