Job Description:
Position Summary:
Correctly complete the mechanical and electrical building of a machine model (project or assembly) meeting industry and Accraply standards, from the start of the assembly through finalization, FAT, and assisted installation. Work with the Engineering team to assist in solving assembly or performance issues and verify that the machine build meets all the customer requirements.
General Responsibilities:
•Read and analyze mechanical and electrical prints/bills of material to plan equipment build.
•Verify conformity of parts to BOM and prints and record any necessary changes. •Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to specifications using proper tools and verifying conformance of parts.
•Build machines using assembly drawings or Solid Works models, abides by assembly prints and customer specifications.
•PLC and/or HMI program downloads - writing some code.
•Perform final test and checkout of final assemblies with assistance.
•Communicate progress daily with Assembly Team Leader.
•Collaborate with the project manager, and project engineers (electrical and mechanical).
•Effectively document the machine build and any changes made to the build.
•May prepare equipment for customer shipment.
•Keep production area clean, neat and organized to allow efficient production.
•Maintain a 'tour ready' appearance in the production area.
•Other duties as requested by Assembly Team Leader.

Education:
•High school diploma (Associates Degree preferred), or professional qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline, or an ability to demonstrate the necessary work experience.
Experience:
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical-electro machine builder in a manufacturing environment is preferred (experience in automated labeling systems is a plus).
•Experience with AC and DC electronics.
•Experience working with sensors and instrumentation.
•Experience with pneumatics and pumps.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Ability to weigh tasks and prioritize the job assembly schedule to ensure on schedule delivery of the product. Gets satisfaction from being on time.
•Ability to machine simple parts as needed.
•Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
•Ability to think critically.
•Ability to work autonomously.
•Ability to detect problems and report information to Assembly Leader.
•Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
•Knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
•Ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Outlook.
•Ability to travel occasionally to other Accraply/Barry-Wehmiller domestic and international locations.
