The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembly of electrical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications.

Core Responsibilities Listed Below – Compensation and position level commensurate with education and experience.
- Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble product.
- Close tolerance mechanical adjusting, fitting and alignment to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards. Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment.
- Perform cutting, grinding, and material preparation per drawing or specification.
- Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using precision measuring instruments.
Preferred Education / Experience:
- Associates degree in related discipline
- 3+ years of experience or;
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
- Ability to read blue prints and technical specifications.
- Proficient with various handheld tools, drill presses, light fabrication tools, hose assembly equipment and torque wrenches.
- Experience using overhead crane, forklift, material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills; materials management systems preferred.
- Self-starter ability to work independently with little supervision..
- Strong communication, organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem, produce a new concept and or idea.
