Job description

SUMMARY:

Elektro Assemblies is a contract manufacturer that is growing rapidly - we are looking for a self-directed ambitious Electrical Mechanical Assembler to help grow the business!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, interpret and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics to determine component parts and assembly sequence.
  • Assemble components, and position, align, crimp, terminate and fasten components by using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Position, align and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
  • Test assembled parts to ensure functionality.
  • Setup, build and test large wire harness assemblies
  • Ability to run equipment such as braiding, crimping, wire cutting etc.
  • Ensure all work performed meets or exceeds quality specifications.
  • Ability to be flexible to work in many areas and standing up to 100% of the time
  • Adhere to all Company policies
  • Follow all quality, environmental, health, and safety programs.
  • Attend work per work schedule
  • Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to clearly understand verbal and written instructions and drawings.
  • Good vision and finger dexterity.
  • Good employment history.
  • Desire to be a team player.
  • Self-motivated to drive continuous improvement
  • Hand crimping
  • One to two years of preparing wires and components for harnessing, soldering, and distribution.
  • Ability to build large complex wire harnesses
  • Experience/Ability to read prints
  • Terminal Press Operation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees are required to frequently stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle components and wires to create harnesses and assemblies. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Good vision abilities required by the job includes but not limited to close vision.
