Job Description
Responsibilities of the Assembler / Shipper receiver include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, package/prepare for shipment centrifugal pumps as well as other related rotating equipment
- Monitor progress of repairs and assign and guide shop personnel to complete those repairs
- Assist the Supervisor in the execution of all work
Qualifications of the Lead Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to Palletize, pull parts, keep track of inventory counts and organize work orders
- Ability to use Microsoft Office effectively
- Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
- Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment
- Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred
- Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision
- Background check, physical, and drug test required
Additional Information:
Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.
