Math Content Writer

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The primary responsibility of this position is to create Math Content and resources for elementary teachers and math specialists.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced content specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about math education and have a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of teachers and students. This role requires deep knowledge of elementary math concepts, strong writing skills, and the ability to create compelling, age-appropriate resources that resonate with diverse learners.

• PART-TIME - Fully Remote
• 10-20 hours per week
• $40/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Some of the primary tasks include but are not limited to:

• Generate ideas and scripts for math podcast episodes.
• Write informational blog posts related to K-3 math topics.
• Design and develop comprehensive math materials including lesson plans, activities, assessments, and educational resources.
• Apply pedagogical principles, research, and best practices in curriculum design to foster hands-on, effective resources.
• Follow a template creation workflow, paying attention to details every step of the way from creation to publication.
• Continuously evaluate and update curriculum content based on feedback, research, and educational trends.
• Ensure all content and materials meet high-quality standards and align with company objectives and educational guidelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math Specialist, or related field
• Experience teaching 1st - 3rd grade math
• Strong writer with an ability to communicate complex math concepts/research in an approachable format.
• Experience with using google docs/sheets
• Detail-oriented, organized, efficient, and self-starting
• Great at setting deadlines and goals and meeting them
• Eager and willing to learn new things
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Great at taking feedback and direction
• Dependable and trustworthy
• Applicant does not have a TPT store or VA business

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
