Customer Service Representative/Veterinary Reception

We are a large, fast-paced, mixed animal hospital looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team of enthusiastic and energetic Customer Service representatives. Our receptionists play a vital role in client service and serve as the first line of communication for our hospital. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a problem solver, and enjoys working with people and their pets

This is a position that may include evenings. Previous veterinary receptionist experience is a plus.

The main responsibilities are as follows:

• Answering the phone and scheduling appointments
• Appropriately documenting messages for doctors
• Entering charges, collecting payment, and updating client information
• Filling prescriptions, creating health certificates, maintaining client files
• Provide a positive front desk experience for our clients and their pets

If you have:

• A positive attitude, are enthusiastic and energetic, and very organized,
• Are dependable, punctual, and flexible to work with our clients’ schedules,
• Are able to work 40 hours a week, after hours as needed,
• Have a minimum of two years receptionist experience preferably in a medical or veterinary setting,
• Knowledge of hospital/veterinary practice and procedures,
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information discreetly,
• Proven experience as a motivated self-starter who works with little direction
• The ability to identify issues and formulate solutions,
• Superb communication skills and excellent conflict management skills,
• Proven experience working closely and successfully in a team environment,

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
