Group Summary

The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. About the Role

Plans work, directs employees and gathers resources to meet production/customer needs, department and plant goals.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Studies production/shipping schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  2. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  3. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production/material/shipping/receiving schedules.
  4. Recommends measures to improve material handling methods, equipment performance, and quality of service.
  5. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  6. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  7. Maintains time and attendance records.
  8. Confers with other supervisors and leads to coordinate activities of the department.
  9. Coordinates efforts of shipping, receiving/warehouse/container process to ensure inventory accuracy, and ensure that the needs of vendors, customers and internal departments are met in a timely manner.
  10. Conducts daily pre-shift meetings with personnel.
  11. Participates in inventories and cycle count efforts.
  12. Evaluates and presents departmental and company performance results.
  13. Supervises truck drivers (tractor/trailer) engaged in delivery and pick-ups of production related materials.
  14. Supervises activities of employees engaged in the operation of remote warehousing facilities.
  15. Develops and maintains procedural manuals for all material handling personnel.
  16. Directly supervises employees in the warehouse, shipping and receiving.
  17. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  18. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Who we are looking for

  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred.
  2. 3-5 years supervisory experience in materials preferred.
  3. 1-2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving/warehouse required.

Your preferred qualifications

  1. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  3. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  4. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or employees.
