Job Description
Material Handler
We are looking for a Material Handler who will report to the Warehouse Supervisor, and who’ll be tasked with helping materials flow from warehouse to the manufacturing facility. As part of your role, you’ll contribute to the successful operation of both the warehouse and the manufacturing facility.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Load, unload and move material to storage
Count, weigh, and record pieces or materials to be moved
Assist in inventories when needed
Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks as needed
Use picklist to prepare loads to transport to manufacturing facility
Utilize handheld scanner in support of warehouse management system
Operate a stand up and/or sit down forklift or pallet jack
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 5S procedures, rules and regulations
Ability to identify 7 wastes and utilize ESP program to report those observations regularly
Perform Daily 5S audit before end of shift and document finding on checklist
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
One year solid work history
Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a forklift operator (Certification provided)
Self Starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Team player
On-site at our warehouse in Chaska, MN
Preferred:
High school Diploma
Forklift experience
Prior experience working in a warehouse
