Job purpose
To assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in the planning and execution of short and long-term strategic marketing activities, works with cross-functional teams to accomplish the company’s overall strategic goals, to promote and implement the company’s core values and excellence in customer service; responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers. The Marketing Manager must display a mature sense of responsibility and professionalism as they carry out their daily activities, demonstrate leadership in working with and guiding other members of the team, and acts as an ambassador of the department.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain company and department activity calendars and ensure marketing department is aware of and meets deadlines
- Manage Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer
- Develop and implement catalog strategy and process start to finish
- Manage catalog creation process: Vendor negotiations and printer specification, distribution process and list segmentation, creative build out, internal review/approval process, project tracking & measurement of key performance indicators
- Work closely on execution of photo shoots to ensure the needs of the marketing department are being met
- Conceptualize, plan and execute full cycle sales and marketing campaigns
- Plan and executes showroom marketing, promotions and events. As well as showroom branding
- Work closely with Director of Sales on planning, organization, and execution of all marketing, advertising, media planning, and promotional activities for the brands
- Analyze results to inform future efforts
- Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing department on the design of online and offline assets; print and digital from initial concept to finished product and execution: Ads, Catalogs, Signage, Mail Pieces
- Develop innovative and scalable programs for internal and external sales team that result in measurable business growth
- Utilize available sales reports in development of programs
- Analyze multi-channel media opportunities
- Work closely with Sales and Product Development to develop and execute integrated marketing and sales strategies, including awareness building, lead generation, lead conversion and new product launches to achieve business and sales goals
- Adhere to brand guidelines and maintain separate and distinct brand images for each individual Transpac Brand (Transpac, Season’s Designs, VIP Home & Garden, Totalee Gift)
- Develop key relationships with editors, sales teams, vendors, and other external entities beneficial to the company
- Deliver presentations to groups internally and externally
- Represent the company and brands at events, tradeshows, press events, etc.
- Provide data, product descriptions, market trends, forecasts, account analysis and new product information as needed
- Prepare for and lead department and team meetings
- Ensure other members of the department are working together to execute projects and meet deadlines
- Aid in development and manage the corporate website
- Develop and maintain separate and distinct brand images for each Transpac Brand, and ensure guidelines are followed and communicated throughout the company
- Oversee maintenance of social media accounts; Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram (provide guidance to content specialist)
- Develop and implements processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of department activities
- Supports maintaining a safe working environment and focuses on safe work habits.
- Maintains a focus for self and team on continuous learning that will enhance skill sets and growth opportunities.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing or business administration or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional marketing experience
- Sound understanding of marketing principles
- Strong administration and organizational skills
- Ability to work extended hours when/if workload required
- Ability to travel to showrooms and trade shows
Physical requirements
- Sitting, Standing, Walking
- Working at trade shows for 12 hours during Market to include standing and walking
- Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
- Carrying, Pushing, Pulling boxes, catalogs, sample orders up to 50 lbs.
