Job Summary
Supports AAA program initiatives to achieve revenue and profit objectives aimed at growing NAPA’s market share from within this diverse group of programs. Work to increase sales and market share within the assigned group of customers. Keep the VP of Auto Care, VP of Major Accounts, Division Vice-Presidents, Division Sales Managers and Distribution Centers Sales Teams informed of all aspects of assigned customer opportunities and expectations. Supports AAA program initiatives to achieve our revenue and profit objectives aimed at growing NAPA’s market share from within this diverse group of programs.
Responsibilities
Meet program participation and sales quotas
Deliver effective communications at all levels
Work effectively with internal NAPA teams to develop programs and promotions that drive awareness and incremental sales for AAA program
Identify, develop and implement all sales and tactical growth activities for all assigned programs
Research Club trends to build stronger programs and customer relationships
Assist in developing business protocols and sales plans aligning with Corporate and Field core objectives
Work directly with Field Sales Teams on customer conversions
Fully and quickly address customer sales and service questions within a timely manner
Promote and assist in training both the Field Sales Teams and AAA Federation
Participate in Division and Distribution Centers sales meetings as well as store owner meetings
Achieve sales quota on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis with all assigned programs
Verify accuracy of rebate reports and customer registration data
When necessary, assist jobbers and/or the APAR Team in collections
Understand and articulate all connectivity programs associated with our various Clubs and AAA customers and further assist the stores in connectivity actions
Assist NAPA Auto Parts stores with proper account set-up and sales tracking
Review and evaluate current program offerings and enhance or adjust as necessary
Provide accurate sales projections and utilize strategic planning to improve sales results
Operate within assigned sales expenses guidelines
Work directly with Product Department to research and resolve any product issues or opportunities as well as develop strong communication lines
Build custom programs to grow sales and market share through assigned programs
Development and communication of marketing and sales programs
Internal resource for NAPA and AAA associates needing operational guidance for AAA programs
Assist with customer and NAPA field issue resolution
Track and report promotion results to AAA as required
Conference and field event coordination
Responsible for regular (weekly/monthly) meetings with AAA corporate and Clubs
Travel to the customer on a regular basis
Field work involved with DC visits, owners’ meetings, and AAA on site work.
Create sales presentations and business review materials
Oversees AAA National and Club relationship
Manage delivery of sales and rebate reporting for AAA programs as required
Collaborate with NAPA product managers to develop promotions to drive awareness of and incremental sales for AAA programs
Tracks and reports promotion results to AAA as required
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience managing customer relationships at a Corporate and Field level in the Automotive Aftermarket or similar industry
Properly communicate with VP of Auto Care, keeping him/her advised of all current and planned sales and marketing activities
Possess personal drive and self-motivation to accomplish the company’s sales goals
Possess analytical problem-solving skills
Provide innovative solutions to opportunities and challenges
Possess exceptional Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Possess strong logistics, problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to learn NAPA software programs (examples; Concur, DOG, RAM)
Ability to operate an automobile and lift 50 lbs.
Ability to travel North America (25-50% Travel)
Possess a valid Passport
2 years of experience in project management
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent work experience.
