Job Description:
The Marketing Coordinator for WA will be responsible for working with the Marketing Coordinator for TN/FL and the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with the day-to-day marketing, public relations, and advertising responsibilities over a variety of disciplines.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist in the development and execution of advertising elements to fulfill a year-long promotional calendar.
- Coordinate creative and material needs with corporate and internal resources.
- Understand mediums and assets needed by club/market.
- Assure messaging is appropriate for market and promotional offer.
- Direct internal designers or use corporate-based asset tool to build assets.
- Direct vendors or internally handle delivery of materials in a timely manner.
- Assist in the organization and execution of 12-month media placement calendar.
- Coordinate all digital ads and social media posts per club.
- Create and send email blasts per campaign through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Work closely with the other Marketing Coordinator, CMO and Agency of Record for all marketing related projects related to your respective territories.
- Coordinate creative and material needs with corporate and internal resources.
- Assist in the development and execution of advertising elements to fulfill media plans for new club openings.
- Conduct preliminary research market or trade area for locally based advertising opportunities - independently as with vendors.
- Coordinate creative and material needs:
- Understand mediums and assets needed by club/market.
- Ensure messaging is appropriate for market and promotional offers.
- Direct internal designers or use corporate-based asset tool to build assets.
- Direct vendors or internally handle delivery of materials in a timely manner.
- Coordinate digital and traditional efforts per the marketing plan through our Agency of Record.
- Create and send email blasts per campaign through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Assist in the organization and execution of club openings, grand openings, and its' media placement.
- Coordinate and execute club/market level community outreach activities.
- Implement local club outreach to Boys and Girls Clubs of America (B&GC) through the national corporate partnership.
- Review and execute corporate-provided outreach playbook on market/club level.
- Serve as intermediate/ initial contact for local B&GC and Ohana Director of Operations, Regional Manager or club GM.
- Maintain record of all events with comments for future use.
- Work with local club / regional managers to identify community events that build the Planet Fitness brand / drive local awareness or membership.
- Coordinate/fulfill charitable initiatives and in-bound donation requests.
- Coordinate social media posts as needed.
- Coordinate local club-specific marketing opportunities.
- Implement local club outreach to Boys and Girls Clubs of America (B&GC) through the national corporate partnership.
- Developing and maintaining a working-level understanding of individual market landscape - competitors, co-op partners, community influencers, major employers, etc.
- Utilize and understand our data dashboards and software to be able to provide adequate reporting on performance analyzation to reach desired promotional results for the territory.
- Spend at minimum 4 business days a month working inside of Planet Fitness in the territory you oversee.

Job Requirements / Certifications:
- 1-3 years' experience in marketing, franchise marketing or PR/advertising agency.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
