General Role and Function:
Works with the Communications and Marketing team to support the communications and marketing plans for the organization.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate collaborative efforts for communications and marketing material requests across all departments.
- Act as primary webmaster, managing website updates, creation of pages, technology integration, and working with tech support as needed, etc., along with updating, reviewing, and analyzing website and social media metrics.
- Collaborate with communications team to create and manage timelines/editorial calendars for digital newsletters, social media, and with primary responsibility for content creation for the website and internal digital displays.
- Create branded assets and collateral and manage production of printed materials.
- Ensure all assets created are compelling, engaging, and consistent with brand voice, guidelines, and messaging as well as timely for organization’s needs.
- Maintain organization of brand assets, including collecting stories, taking photos and videos.
- Assist with fundraising efforts through creation of new online donation forms, thank you emails, and thank you web pages as needed.
- Provide support maintaining social media presence across multiple platforms.
- Comfortable coordinating with the internal team, news media, and other third-party groups to capture footage and interviews with staff, clients, volunteers, donors, etc.
- Ability to work with media for advertising placements to support events and services.
- Comply with and keep abreast of copyright regulations and privacy laws.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with focus on marketing/communications preferred or equivalent experience in related field.
- Proactive problem solver with critical thinking and excellent time management skills, the ability to organize and manage a wide variety of tasks with accuracy and attention to deadlines, and the flexibility to adjust to daily change.
- Ability to adapt and desire to learn new skills and techniques through self-teaching.
- Strong team player through collaboration with others ensuring we continue delivering more than a meal to the community, while also processing the ability to work independently.
- Effectively engages in written and oral communications and comfortable interacting with the public.
- Story-telling writing and editing experience.
- Use of correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling in all communications is of the upmost importance.
- Computer/Software skills to include:
- Microsoft Office, Google Analytics
- Intermediate proficiency with major social media platforms, Canva, MailChimp, Zapier, and Adobe Creative Suite's: lnDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Rush Pro.
- Website content management
- Must have reliable, personal vehicle and a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and applicable insurance coverage required by the company policy.

Physical requirements:
- Have mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
- Able to work at a desk and computer screen for extended periods of time; anticipated that the person may spend several hours of each day seated at a computer.
- Able to attend meetings and travel to various locations within and away from the city.
- Ability to work in a highly stressful environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and diverse employee population.
- Able to occasionally lift up-to twenty-five (25) pounds as necessary for special events.
