Responsible for teaching courses in media and public relations including PR writing, PR campaigns, tactics, and planning, teaching big-data usage and research methods for journalism majors. Works with graduate students and develops online content.

• Teaches twelve credit hours per semester, teach primarily courses in public relations, digital media, multimedia storytelling, big-data and journalism fundamentals. Additional teaching responsibilities may include communication courses needed by the School of Communication.
• Integrates utilization of statistical knowledge and big-data analysis in connection with research and social media analysis.
• Serves as undergraduate academic advisor, mentor students and advise student organizations.
• Serves as an active and collegial member of the department, university and community.
• Active participation in scholarly/creative projects and professional organizations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
