Join our team as a Marketing Communications Intern. In this role, you will be an active member of STERIS Life Sciences and gain hands-on, real-world experience by supporting the Marketing Communications team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated intern to provide support in the transition of existing website content to a new website platform by utilizing an efficient process that involves cataloging, processing and tracking reviews and approval - along with additional Marketing Communications responsibilities.
Key Internship Information:
- Paid Internship
- Target start date is May 20th, 2024 and end date is August 9th, 2024
- Full-Time (40 hours) - This is a full-time internship Monday-Friday
- Location - This is a hybrid role and requires interns to work weekly at our Mentor, Ohio facility
- Assist with cataloging existing marketing assets.
- Using a prepared rubric, write first draft-conversion of website content to a new format.
- Identify content gaps for the team and research potential information, images and videos that can be produced to fill the gaps.
- Develop content for marketing emails, LinkedIn posts and other materials.
- Develop content for internal communications.
- Assist with content development for Customer events (webinars, seminars, trade shows)
- Track content assets (written, graphic, video) in the team's project management tool.
- Facilitate content assets within the team for review and approval.
- Facilitate content assets to external stakeholders for review and approval.
- Update the team's project management tool and report progress.
- Conduct market research.
EDUCATION: Completion of sophomore level coursework by May 2024. Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism major with promotional writing skills.
Writing samples and/or portfolio will be required.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Computer skills, including experience with Excel, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Experience with social media (content development, analytics, etc.) is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills required.
- Solid organizational skills, good judgment, and ability to think analytically.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.
