Job Description

The role of the Executive Communications Leader is to strengthen the visibility and influence of a Senior PS leader (and their team) by helping them better understand themselves (their strengths, weaknesses, values, what drives them) so they can communicate with one voice consistently and authentically internally and externally and in doing so help build the business.

The leader should be an energetic self-starter who brings a creative storytelling approach to every project. They must also have a strong track record in producing high-quality, crisp messaging and presentations for senior executives, a demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information, exemplary organizational skills, and an uncompromising eye for quality and detail while working on several projects simultaneously.

What:

The Executive Communications Manager will support the PS Senior Vice President and their team to achieve the following objectives:

· Drive Confidence in Leadership. Our executives set the tone of the business and the mood of the organization. Through their words and actions, they can inspire and engage employees.

· Increase personal Visibility, Influence and Impact of the PS LT. Identify strengths and opportunities of each leader and develop a Personalized Development Plan to help them become more visible and influential leaders.

· Build P&G PS Reputation and Influence. Drive P&G PS thought leadership and strategic key messages to mostly internal audiences (an example of external would be suppliers).

How:

Leading their Internal and External Communications:

· Identify opportunities for deliberate, thoughtful exposure of key leaders in internal events and platforms that build PS/P&G reputation.

· Develop and lead the communications plan and messaging to support key senior leaders.

· Partner with HR to develop and implement a collaborative approach to internal employee communications

· Craft and execute all internal and external leadership communications – including speeches, presentations, panel discussions, videos, and media.

· Collaborate with senior P&G leaders in Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources and more on communications and events to deepen understanding of P&G’s business and organization priorities

· Create innovative ways to communicate that inform and engage a diverse, global employee base

· Establish and track metrics that link employee communications programs to employee productivity, satisfaction and organization performance

Providing ongoing Communications coaching and support via Personalized Development Plans:

· Help each leader to get to know themselves better (their strengths, weaknesses) so they can become more inspirational and influential leaders.

· Coach each leader how to develop their own Message Track/Narrative which will ensure they tell a consistent and authentic ‘story’ to their organization.

· Practice delivering messaging in a clear, consistent and authentic manner.

· Be in touch with the leader and provide timely communication advice that reflects an understanding of their business and leadership style

· Shadow/accompany the leader to key meetings, plant visits etc to better understand the leader and more importantly their audience.

· Identify ongoing communication opportunities

· Make connections with key leaders in the Plants/Regions/Disciplines

Build P&G Reputation and Influence:

· Identify PS storytelling opportunities to deliver our key messages and in doing so drive thought leadership in critical areas (Innovation, Workplace, Sustainability and Community Impact) to feed into the broader PS communicators network for potential publishing on P&G corporate channels, etc.

· Support of the PS SVP’s LinkedIn profile (should they choose to be active).

Job Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for candidates who are passionate about people and the written word. The ideal candidate:

· Demonstrates strong verbal and written Communication Skills: Must be able to develop clear, concise and well-organized communications (written, oral and visual) for use internally and externally with superior executional delivery. Expert in Message Track development. Good understanding and use of the English language.

· Has experience in developing and implementing Communication Strategies

· Has strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence, integrative thinking and collaboration skills.

· Builds positive and collaborative relationships internally and externally – across geographic and organizational levels and boundaries.

· Takes a strategic approach – develops communications to achieve business and organization outcomes.

· Learns quickly; internalizes and applies a leader’s unique voice across a range of communications channels and topic areas.

· Understands and effectively communicates detailed business results and complex marketplace dynamics. Knows how to adapt messaging to different audiences.

· Embraces a robust workplan that is a mix of strategic and executional deliverables; enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

· Operates with a sense of urgency, is highly responsive, stays ahead of deadlines, and demonstrates excellent execution and follow-through.

· Is respectful of Confidential materials

· Has the ability to work calmly and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

· Ideally has a coaching accreditation

Starting Salary Range: $100-143K

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience. At P&G compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Total Rewards at P&G include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits.
