Our E-Communication Specialist Responsibilities include managing the department e-communications via email and chat. Assisting with onboarding of new patients and scheduling for NEW CPAP equipment. Including managing new orders via faxes from referrals, creation of new patient accounts and sales orders, properly qualifying new orders based on insurance guidelines and managing inbound phone calls. Additional functions will include communicating and support for referral sources, patients, and Territory Managers via email and phones. Patient interaction may include obtaining credit card information, scheduling, and RT coordination. Effective communication with referral sources, clinical staff, patients, and sales team is important. Patient and referral assistance and other nonclinical functions as assigned.
** Starting $16.70/hr
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform all intake responsibilities for onboarding NEW CPAP patients/orders, including associated data entry & paperwork
- Responds to inquiries from Territory Managers, Respiratory Therapists and Referral Sources relative to CPAP orders via email and phone
- Strong understanding of workflows to help expedite the scheduling of CPAP patients/orders
- Provide excellent customer service to referrals, patients, and internal staff.
- Schedule daily appointments for the Clinical Respiratory Therapists (RT) at initial patient contact.
- Strengthen relationships with referral sources and Territory managers to help grow the business
- Gain an understanding of insurance guidelines and requirements related to CPAP orders
- Provide detailed insurance benefit information updates to patients including deductibles and co-pays
- Method of Payment collection when applicable
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Physical Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience as administrative assistant or equivalent
- Knowledge of CPAP equipment, Respiratory equipment & basic DME industry helpful
- Perform office/clerical motor skills and extensive computer and telephone usage.
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills for both internal & external customers
- Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (a team player).
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task.
*Starting Rate of pay is no less than $16.70/hour
