Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Plan for anticipated needs and manage media tracking for Association records and sponsor return on investment, including managing vendor relationships and contract, and working with Communications Directors to ensure accurate and timely media reports are provided for internal and external use.
  • Keep state websites current, and aid in occasional social media posting for region accounts, and contribute to content creation for core events.
  • Support Marketing and Communications staff with budget reporting.
  • Manage goal tracking and reporting, coordinate departmental meeting schedules and assist in preparing directors for meetings they will be leading, handle payment of departmental invoices, and assist Vice President of Communications with travel and calendar arrangements.
  • Maintain comprehensive notes to aid Marketing and Communications Directors, assisting in identifying next steps during support for marketing and communications campaigns and gathering necessary materials as required.
  • Provide or arrange for department-specific training for directors on internal and external systems.
  • Work with Communications Directors to track and manage local market communications budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Region Sr. Marketing Communications Director to oversee, identify, and execute marketing and communication tasks for 17 markets across five states.
  • Take on project management responsibilities, occasionally designing proposals, and providing support to other Marketing and Communications staff within the region as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Want to move your resume to the top so that you can become a “Relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives?” Here are some of the requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in project and budget management.
  • Organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Results driven with the ability to multi task, prioritize, self-start and work collaboratively with a team.
  • Writing and editing experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office used for word processing, email, presentations, and extensive spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Canva and other design tools preferred.

The expected pay range will be $20.70 to $26.50 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
