General Summary:

The primary focus of the Marketing Assistant position will be to provide support for AllSurplus Deals marketing efforts, including social media, email and other channels to drive increased followers and engagements. This includes the planning, creation and execution of social posts and videos; monitoring of competitor’s social efforts; and managing social media conversations/engagements for the channels. Additionally, the Marketing Assistant will collaborate with RSCG team members to assist in projects designed to maximize company profits.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily social media post calendar for completion – planning, content creation and posting
• Manage social media account engagement for AllSurplus Deals in all channels, including forums/groups as needed
• Provide Manager with insights on social media performance (content performance, areas of concern and opportunities for improvement)
• Post 3rd party listing ads, as directed
• Build marketing email campaigns to promote categories and assets in the ASD marketplace
• Work with Manager to build and execute local promotional activities

Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
May determine methods and procedures on new assignment or may receive general instructions. Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgement.

Qualifications:

Education/ Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years marketing experience
• Thorough understanding of social media landscape – best practices, analytics and measurement

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented, accurate and timely
• Overall computer proficiency within a Windows environment
• Knowledgeable in data and analytical reporting tools: Google Analytics, HubSpot and social channel analytics (Meta, YouTube, Twitter)
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Ability to prioritize and execute on tasks
• Time management skills and ability to adhere to a schedule

Location(s):

• This role is located in the Cincinnati OH metro or Northern KY area as there will be occasional travel to Hebron, KY
