Job Description

This position is a member of the Corporate Marketing Team reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing & Business Development.  The Marketing Analyst is a team lead owning managerial execution of three key areas:  Salesforce, GDSN platforms and Sales Team Reporting & Analytics.  Role requires working closely with sales teams and key customers to provide data & insights continually improving our processes allowing our organization to sell more effectively and drive long-term growth.  Data synchronization and accuracy of these three key areas across company platforms such as Infor M3, Optiva and Blacksmith will require software intuition, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

1. Lead sales teams as the Salesforce subject matter expert, offering continuous training and support. Drive deeper into Salesforce functionality using Trailhead and other training resources.
2. Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards, reports, and metrics within Salesforce to facilitate effective sales governance and performance monitoring.
3. Proactively explore and utilize Salesforce functionalities to optimize user experience and operational efficiency.
4. Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and resolve technical issues, assessing the need for external consultant involvement and managing related costs accordingly.
5. Lead and manage GSDN platforms with accurate publication of product information and images to data pools like 1WorldSync and Syndigo.
6. Ensure high compliance scores on customer GSDN portals to avoid penalties by regularly updating and maintaining product attributes and images.
7. Produce, analyze and distribute monthly reports requirements.  Report examples include sales team dashboards to marketing asset inventories to financial reports.
8. Ownership of master data integrity including attributes and hierarchies at both customer and product level tying back to general ledger reconciliation and cross-departmental alignments through OVOT initiative.
9. Utilize a data-driven approach to evaluate the outcomes of marketing and sales campaigns, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and refine future strategies.
10. Analyze market, territory and business trends that drive stronger performance and help manage the effectiveness of promotional activities directing strategic decision-making.  Scope goes beyond traditional direct customers to include Buying Groups and Group Purchasing Organizations.
11. Support the accuracy and integrity of data migration projects within ERP systems, with a focus on customer and product information. 
12. Ensure data consistency and completeness across all reporting metrics, including third-party indirect purchasing data.
13. Collaborate closely with onsite teams and participate in onsite meetings to drive departmental objectives.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Excellent planning and organization, project management and time management skills.  Must be able to learn as well as train.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills evidenced by the ability to mine data, identify performance trends and mobilize key findings into actionable recommendations.  Strong spreadsheet modeling skills are required.

Organizational Skills – Ensure projects are tracked and completed in a timely manner; Multi-tasking and various external and internal contacts will require strong organizational skills.

Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Retail Consumer Goods and/or Foodservice background. Sales experience a plus.

 

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a general business, marketing, finance or a related field required

 

Related Experience:

5 years minimum experience in a Business support role. 

3 – 5 years minimum experience as Salesforce.com Power-user creating dashboards, reports, and business analytics driving user enablement.

Must be able to handle diversity of tasks and manage them effectively.

 

Equipment/Software Skills:

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel.

(Pivot Tables required / PowerBi a plus)

Experience preferred with GSDN platforms, Blacksmith and ERP Systems.

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Drivers License

Additional Information

Physical: Typing and manual dexterity required. Movement back and forth between printers and other office equipment.  Must be comfortable sitting for long periods of time.  Phone dialogue is required.

Sensory: Heavy telephone and email volume.  Must have excellent diction to respond to call and excellent hearing in order to understand and respond to issues or request.  Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Mental/Reasoning:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.  Good organizational skills with strong discipline and work ethic. Ability to multi task and work under pressure while managing obstacles such as time constraints and prioritize work load appropriately.  Must work well with others under little supervision.  Ability to rationalize and analyze results and make appropriate business decisions.
