Summary:
Under direction of the Vice President for Strategic Planning and Marketing, provides business intelligence insights to executive leadership and marketing, by extracting, analyzing, trending, visualizing, mapping and reporting hospital market data (state and Medicare data), as well as demographic data, Strategic Planning information, and other research findings. Ability to utilize Esri's ArcGIS Pro to create maps. These data insights and maps will be used by corporate and hospital leaders to guide Strategic Planning and business development at the hospital, network, and enterprise level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aggregate data from different sources and produce analyses to information planning effort throughout the organization (market/competitor assessments, identification of service line opportunities, market projections, demographics, market share, and market opportunities. Create maps using Esri's ArcGIS Pro and analysis with Esri's Business Analyst.
  • Responsible for fielding strategic questions from corporate departments and hospital leadership while translating questions into actionable data requests and written findings.
  • Extracting reports from vendor data system and analyzing for strategic insights.
  • Conduct secondary research and analysis of new service line and process opportunities (industry intelligence)
  • Create executive-level presentations using data visualization techniques and communicating analytical results to key stakeholders while suggesting implications and potential next steps.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ensure timely completion of project tasks in-line with project and enterprise objectives. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications:
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, research, public health, urban studies/planning
Required Experience: 3 years quantitative analytics experience
Preferred Experience: Healthcare planning and market research experience preferred
Computer Skills Required: Excellent spreadsheet skills (Excel), including pivot tables, V and H lookups. Excellent word processing and presentation skills (Google slides, Google Docs, Word and PowerPoint) Experience with mapping and business analytics tools such as ArcGIS, Tableau, and Power BI, Esri ArcGis Pro and Business Analyst.
