Position Overview
RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy is a growing Memphis-based agency embarking on a national expansion effort – named by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce as one of the “Top 10 Companies to Watch” and the “Best Places to Work” by the Memphis Business Journal.
We are seeking a part-time, project-based (20-40 hours/week) Market Research Analyst to join the RedRover pack. This position can operate in a fully remote capacity, out of the Memphis headquarters, or some combination of the two at the candidate's discretion. The work schedule is generally flexible except for weekly one-to-ones (with your leader), weekly staff meetings, and other critical company meetings.
Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of experience in gathering data through a variety of methods while applying and compiling complex information into actionable sales and marketing plans.
The primary responsibility is to coordinate and gather data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits using a variety of methods, such as interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, market analysis surveys, public opinion polls, and literature reviews. The Market Research Analyst will interpret and convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports.
Successful candidates demonstrate a strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative best practices and provide a portfolio of past marketing-related research projects with a demonstration of how the data and findings were used in practical business settings. This role requires an organized, methodical approach to day-to-day work.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
- Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables
- Proven ability to relate facts and findings to a broader strategy
- An affinity for results and tangible outcomes
- Excellent follow-through and organization
- Sound business judgment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking
- Experience using survey platforms such as SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, etc.
- Mastery of SQL and Python for strategic data analysis
- Experience in advanced analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate and A/B testing, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness
