Marine Resident Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Marine Resident Engineer with experience in waterfront construction observation, contract administration, and construction management. This position will complement and expand our existing team strengths in marine and coastal construction and design.
Once the construction project is complete in 2024, you will become part of the team, providing project management and leadership in execution of marine and coastal design projects.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with inspectors daily and support other in-house project team members with expertise in marine construction, contract administration, and engineering
• Provide input and expertise related to cost estimating for marine projects, including rubblemound breakwaters, pier construction, and waterfront design
• Responsible for overall project planning, execution, control and closure of projects associated with flood risk management, navigation, ecosystem restoration, and other water resource related projects
• Manage project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations with a focus on meeting project objectives
• Prepare detailed scope of work and lead the development of labor and subcontracting budgets
• Assist in the development of other project management professionals through mentoring, training, and review of work products
• Participate in proposal preparation and interviews, attract new clients, and retain clients

Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil, Ocean, or Coastal Engineering or a closely related engineering category
• Professional Engineering license
• Construction Management Experience
• 12+ years of marine construction and engineering experience
• Strong interest in analysis, design, and construction
• Willing to travel for several 1-2 week periods domestically and internationally
