In alignment with the mission, programs and initiatives of MSU Extension, delivers research-based information to program participants through various methods and/or provides support and coordination of MSU Extension programs.

- Assist with the oversight of 4-H Youth Show entries and management of the Fair Entry software system.
- Oversee data entry of Youth Show results. Assist 4-H staff with 4-H Youth Show event preparation, including ribbon and trophy inventory, assignment of volunteer tasks, printing reports, and preparing files for event.
- Help plan and lead pre-event meetings, assist
with 4-H Youth Show marketing efforts. Assist with staffing 4-H Youth Show Office. - Candidates must be able to assist with 4-H Youth Show event July 21-26.
Position Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
Desired Qualifications- Understanding of Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Show or the youth division of other fairs and exhibitions.
- Ideal position for a former exhibitor, parent, or volunteer.
- Proven ability in establishing and working with a diverse network of constituents and community members across race, gender, socioeconomic class, disabilities, and other differences to assist with program development and outreach.
- Understanding of and ability to implement Civil Rights principles and compliance standards.
- Combination of education and specific, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Ability to lift and carry educational materials, equipment, etc. up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge, and use of appropriate approaches, skills and techniques, which reflect an understanding and awareness of social, cultural and economic diversity of the target population served.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in use of technology (e.g., web research, Zoom, Qualtrics, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook for mail/calendaring, distance technology, etc.).
- Other skills and/or physical abilities required to perform duties of the position.
