We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Resident Engineer - transit focused - to join our established and growing team in New York.

This role will support and provide engineering and construction support to one or more managers within a group, office or project.
You'll be responsible for:
- Organizing, supervising and coordinating large-scale projects involving construction, alteration or repair of roads, bridges, utilities, buildings and/or structures.
- Scheduling and coordinating all construction processes.
- Coordinating and doing inspection of work in progress for compliance with plans, codes and standards and for compliance with schedules and deadlines.
- Developing and implementing construction management plans including confirming progress, reviewing issues and actions, and ensuring quality and safety.
- Developing and implementing an effective schedule of values for payments, change order control and evaluation system.
- Conducting regular schedule analysis of projects' progress and completion.
- Tracking project progress with electronic project control and scheduling systems.
- Designing and managing processes to efficiently support the program objectives.
- Supporting program manager/executive in all aspects of the project.
You'll need to have:
- New York/New Jersey specific experience required.
- Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the business and with good business acumen.
- Experience in preparing typing and editing reports, contract specifications (to be performed under an engineer's supervision).
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
- PE required for this role (CCM or PMP considered in lieu).
- Experience in the construction industry as a resident or assistant Resident Engineer.
- Knowledge and ability to utilize computers, including the latest versions of office productivity and project management software, in daily activities.
- 30hr OSHA training required at minimum.
You'll also have:
- Amtrak, MTA, NJT, LIRR, MNRR experience preferred.
- Public agency experience a big plus.
