Job Description:
Working with the assistant production scheduler, Customer Service and Engineering and Department Lead, the Manufacturing Support Specialist supervises, supports and coordinates production activities and other manufacturing operations performed in the Metal Fabrication Department.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting and support a safety-first work atmosphere
- Ensures all company rules and policies are followed
- Ensures components are manufactured to the highest quality standards
- Directs, plans, routes and coordinates all activities in the Metal Fabrication Department
- Utilizes Solid Works, Stryker and Microsoft Office Suite to support Manufacturing operations, design and/or Engineering Changes
- Supports Customer Service and Sales
- Oversee scheduling and stocking levels
- Creates Part/Item Numbers BOM’s in ERP and Quotes for new product manufacturing
- Creates new programs for CNC Turret Punch Presses, CNC Press Brakes and CNC Mesh Welder.
- Directs Set-Ups and Changeovers
- Processes and Troubleshoots equipment, recommends and requests tooling as needed to maintain production requirements and equipment reliability.
- Records and maintains accurate production records using ERP system
- Supports Inventory and Cycle Counting using ERP system
- Keep department clean and organized following 5S principles and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing Engineering or other related Degree (Preferred, but not required)
- 2 yr. Associates Degree with commensurate manufacturing experience
- Supervisory Experience (Preferred)
- May consider a 2 yr. Associates Degree with/or commensurate manufacturing experience
- Minimal 2 Year Experience using SolidWorks (Dwg./Modeling Software)
- Experience using Stryker or other sheet metal nesting/CAM software
- Minimal 2 Years working in Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Reliable transportation and exceptional attendance
- Able to Lift 50 Pounds
- Pass Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical
- Available to Work Overtime as Needed
