Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Assembly Specialist will provide expertise to continue advancement of manufacturing and assembly processes throughout the organization.
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, operations, and other support functions to optimize welding processes.
- Inspect and review manufacturing equipment installations for design and troubleshooting purposes.
- Provide technical and business guidance and mentoring for process technicians.
- Support plant trials, equipment life testing and prototype builds.
- Work with maintenance to properly maintain and calibrate machinery.
- Assist in the buyoff and runoff of equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop best practices and innovative solutions to optimize production and quality.
- Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support potentially at all hours depending upon the plant schedule.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred but not required.
- Must possess 5+ years of manufacturing and assembly experience.
- Must be able to work C Crew: Friday, Saturday (6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) & Sunday, Monday (6:00 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.)
- Must be able to prove expertise with Stanley and Atlas Copco torque systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC Systems.
- Proficient with plastic welding processes (vibration, sonic and hot plate).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.
