Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and work closely with operations to optimize productivity and reduce lead time in our manufacturing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Utilize SolidWorks to design, model, and detail components and assemblies as required.
- Lead and facilitate Six Sigma projects to reduce process variation and improve overall product quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Manufacturing Processes, Six Sigma, SolidWorks.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze problems and devise solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex team environment.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and MRP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work product.
