Job Description

Pannier is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Applications Engineer to work on and support standard Pannier software applications that control Pannier Laser, Programmable Stamper, and Ink Jet industrial marking equipment. Qualifications include having software design, development, and testing skills.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Create marking formats and configure standard Pannier software applications per customer order requirements.
• Build software distributions, install software, and pre-test marking equipment.
• Learn and understand the specific communication protocol for each Pannier industrial marking system.
• Write, maintain, and support Pannier software applications that handle data transfer/communication, provide the operator interface, and control the Pannier marking equipment.
• Organize software code into understandable modules that are easy to maintain.
• Work and collaborate in a group environment.
• Meet project/order deadlines.
• Provide customer support and trouble shooting.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Associate degree in Computer Science; BS in Computer Science preferred.
• Software development experience required.
• Proficient in the Microsoft .NET development platform. Microsoft Visual Basic & Microsoft Visual Studio, InstallShield, Word, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of computer communication methods including Windows Sockets (Ethernet TCP/IP).
• Ability to understand existing Pannier software systems and add/modify functionality.
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
