Job Description
Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate manual machines including lathes, milling machines (horizontal and vertical), and other equipment to perform precision machining operations.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
* Work with precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements and perform quality control checks
* Complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs
* Work closely with co-workers, management, and safety coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations
* Make drawings based on sample products to repair the piece

* One-year certificate from college or technical school or apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology; OR three or more years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
* Previous experience working on Manual Lathes and Mills (Lion Engine Lathe Experience a Plus)
* Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining all types of metals
* Understand the properties of metal and other materials to select the appropriate machining techniques
* Knowledge of metric conversion; able to work in Metric and English units
* Ability to lift a minimum of 50-70 lbs.
* Ability to use an overhead crane (preferred)
* Ability to use a forklift (preferred)
