Cnc Manual Machinist

Miller Brother Staffing has the immediate need of an experience CNC Manual Machinist for 1st shift the Dover, PA area.
PAY RATE - $23-$25+ an hour, DOE
SHIFT:
1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM Monday-Friday
** Training more than likely will be Mon - Thurs 4:30am - 3pm; Potentially for multiple weeks. **

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for producing parts by programming, setting up, and operating manual machines
• Able to change tools, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to print dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Requirements:

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with CAD programs
• Past experience setting up and operating manual machines
• Use of precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This position will require you to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and occasionally sit for short periods of the shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, squat, bend, twist, kneel, stand, and walk as needed and when applicable up to the duration of shift
