Manual Machinist - $28/Hour Br 57

A northwest tooling manufacturer is seeking a Manual Machinist with Manual Mill and Engine Lathes experience for a temp to hire, 1st shift, $23-$28+/hour (+ DOE)position. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of similar experience and able to work OT as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Experience with manual mills and engine lathes.

- Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments.

- Ability to read, interpret, and work from machining blueprints.

- Ability to perform set-ups for machined parts (squareness, flatness, touch-off, center-finding, etc.)

- Experience with measurement tools (calipers and micrometers (OD, ID, and depth mics))

- Detail-oriented attitude.

- CNC milling and turning experience is a plus but not as important as manual experience

- Shop tools are available but basic machinist tools are expected

Qualifications:

· Experience in a job shop environment or education at a trade school in a machinist/tool maker program.

· Experience on Mori Seki & YCM machines with Fanuc controls as well as Haas CNC machines is a plus

· Experience with Gibbs CAM for programming is a plus

· Can read and understand blueprints and detailed worksheets, and is capable of performing mathematical calculations required in association with the blueprint and work instructions
